Parent Outreach Meeting on Language Development
December 4 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
As part of the Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center’s efforts to provide information about early learners and support to parents and other education professionals, presentations on children’s language development will take place on Monday, Dec. 4 and on Tuesday, Dec. 5, in English and in Spanish.
The presenters will be Lynette Marichal, a speech and language pathologist at the John M. Marshall Elementary School, Jacqueline Rambo, the EWECC school psychologist, and Arlene Pizzo Notel, EWECC’s program director.
The program will address children’s language development milestones from 18 months to five years old, individual differences in development, evaluation and intervention, and the role of technology in language development.
In addition to parents of children who attend the Eleanor Whitmore center, early childhood teachers from across the East End have been invited to attend.
Child care will be provided.
